$20 Unlimited Local talk

The unlimited Local Talk plan provides you with unlimited talk in a chatr Local talk zone.

A chatr Local talk zone is the physical area where you can enjoy unlimited talk. As long as you’re in a Local talk zone, you can call non-stop to any local phone number within the Local zone you’re in.

In the Greater Toronto Area, Vancouver, Montreal and many other cities across Canada. Check out our coverage map for more details.

If you find yourself outside of your Local talk zone, you'll still have cell phone coverage, but pay-per-use charges will apply to your usage. Be sure to add some extra money to your chatr account so you can keep talking and texting.

When you travel to another chatr Local talk zone, that Local zone becomes your new Unlimited Local talk zone!

Information for chatr Ottawa Local talk zone customers:

Ottawa Customers with a 613 or 819 area code who are on the Unlimited Local Talk plan can make unlimited outgoing calls within the Ottawa Local zone.

$10 50 minutes Canada-wide Talk

The $10/month plan provides you with 50 minutes of Canada-wide calling plus 50 incoming and outgoing Texts to Canada, US and International. Voicemail retrievals are 40¢/minute.

$25 Unlimited Province-wide Talk and International Text

The Unlimited Province-wide Talk & International Text plan provides you with unlimited talk in the Canadian province you’re in as long as you are within the chatr network, and International text across Canada.

When you travel to another province, that province becomes your new Unlimited Talk area and you will continue to enjoy the benefits of your plan!

The Unlimited Canada Wide Talk & International Text plan provides you with unlimited talk & International text across Canada.

You can travel anywhere within the chatr mobile network across Canada and still enjoy the benefits of your plan! If you need data, you can add up to 2 GB.

$45 Unlimited Canada/US Talk and International Text

The Unlimited Canada/US Talk & International Text plan provides you with unlimited talk within Canada and to the US (from Canada) with International text across Canada.

You can travel anywhere within the chatr mobile network across Canada and still enjoy the benefits of your plan! If you need data, you can add up to 2 GB.

Talk, Text & Data Plan (in–zone)

chatr offers Talk, Text and Data Plans (in–zone) in the Greater Toronto Area, Vancouver, Montreal and many other cities across Canada. Check out our coverage map for more details. The benefits of your plan can travel with you to any chatr data zone.

While in–zone, the plans include Unlimited Canada–wide Talk & International Text, and data with a choice of allotment at 3G speed. Once you have reached your allotment, you can continue to use data at a reduced speed until your next anniversary date. Data speed will be reduced from up to 3 Mbps to up to 64 kbps (for both download and upload).

Pay-per-use charges apply for talk, text and data usage outside of a chatr data zone.

2. I’m on a plan with a limited amount of texts included. If I don’t use up my text messages this month, do they roll-over to the next month?
No, if you are subscribed to a plan with a limited amount of text messages included, any unused text messages do not rollover from month-to-month. We also want to note that the text messages in your plan do not include International text messaging (US is included), MMS messages and other premium content messages.
3. How do I change my chatr mobile plan?

Simply call our chatr Customer Care at *611 from your chatr mobile phone– a free call or call 1-800-485-9745, from anywhere in Canada, and a friendly chatr customer service rep will be happy to assist you with this.

You may need to top-up your chatr account to ensure there’s enough balance to cover your new plan’s monthly fee. A new anniversary date will be created for you as well, based on the date of the plan change. Changes will take effect immediately.

International Talk saver feature
1. What is included in the International Talk Saver feature?
Our International Talk Saver feature is included in the Unlimited Province-wide, Canada-wide and Canada/US plans. Check out the International Talk Saver reduced rate per country and select the country you are calling to check out international long distance rate. International long distance talk is available at pay-per-use rate. Remember to top up extra money to chatr mobile account to enjoy International Talk Saver.
2. What happens if I don’t have extra money in my chatr account, and I place a long distance call on an International Talk Saver feature?
If you don’t have extra money in your chatr account, you will not be able to use international long distances minutes. Remember to top up extra money to keep chatting at the reduce rates that come with your international Talk saver plan.
Changing your plan
1. How do I change my chatr mobile plan?
To change your chatr mobile plan:
1. Sign into your chatr account with your username or chatr phone number and password.
2. Click "Change price plan/features" in the Quicklinks section or "Change Plan" in the "Account status" section.
3. Follow the instructions.

Note: changing your plan will also change your Anniversary Date.
2. Does my anniversary date change when I change my plan?
Yes, your Anniversary Date will change to the same date the monthly plan fee is paid.
3. Is there a cost associated with changing my plan?
If you are downgrading your plan, you will pay the full monthly fee of your new plan. If you are upgrading your plan, you will be charged your new monthly plan fee minus the proration amount.
4. What is proration?
When you are upgrading your plan, there may be a credit adjustment applied to your account based on the number of days paid in your previous monthly plan fee.
5. Can I change my plan if there's no money in my account?
You can initiate a price plan change if there is no money in your account; however, you will be required to top-up before completing the change. Make sure you have a top-up card or credit card available.
6. Can I carry over features from my existing plan to my new plan?
You cannot carry over features from an existing plan to your new plan. For example, you will lose any remaining SMS or data balances (if applicable) from your previous price plan. Once your plan change is complete, you will receive all features associated with your new plan.
7. Can I change my plan if I'm currently in expired status?
Yes. You can change your plan if your account has been expired for 6 months or less. You will prompted to top up with a credit card or top-up card. After topping up your account, your status will change to 'Active' and you will be assigned a new Anniversary Date.
