Before you start
What you need to know:
- You’ll be able to pick a new number from a selection of available numbers.
- The change usually happens right away but may take up to 24 hours.
- You'll need to set up a new voicemail and greeting. All saved messages will be erased and can’t be transferred to the new number.
- Once you change your number, you can’t go back to your old one.
Steps
- Sign in to My chatr. If you don’t have an account, set one up now.
- Go to the Profile tab and select Change phone number under Manage account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the number change.
- Restart your phone to make sure the changes take effect.
