How to top up

There are many ways to top up your account. To pay for your monthly plan fee and any chatr pay-per-use charges, you can use any of these payment options.

Auto-pay: automatic payments

With pre-authorized monthly payments, your chatr plan fee will be automatically charged to your chosen payment card, so your account is always topped up. Learn more about auto-pay.

 

Manual payments: make a one-time payment

• Top up quickly as a guest without signing in
• Sign into My chatr to top up with a chatr top-up card credit card, Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard.
• Call or text us to top up with a top up card or get text reminders when it’s time to top up.

Where to buy chatr top-up cards

In addition to chatr stores, top-up cards are available to buy at select retailers across Canada.

Visit our store finder to locate the nearest chatr store or discover other retailers you can buy top-up cards from.

What happens if you forget to top up your chatr account on your anniversary date

• If you forget to top up your chatr account on your anniversary date, your mobile phone service and account balance will be put on hold.
• You won't be able to use your plan until you make the monthly payment.
• After that, you can use your chatr plan again.
• Your new anniversary date will be the date of your payment.

If your top-up card payments are locked because of too many unsuccessful attempts to enter a top-up card PIN, sign in to your My chatr account to unlock them or wait for the temporary lock to clear.
