FAQ
The My chatr app lets you do the following:
- Check your balance
- Monitor usage in real time
- Top up your account (credit card or top up card)
- Change your plan
- Change your SIM card
- Find a chatr store
- Check the coverage map
To access the My chatr app you will need the following:
- An active chatr account
- A Smartphone on either Android 5.0 (or higher) or iOS 8 (or higher)
To sign-in to the My chatr app you will need to enter your chatr phone number and password. This would be the same information you enter when you sign-in to My chatr at chatrmobile.com
At chatr, we have a policy of protecting our customer’s privacy. Sign into your My chatr account to change or edit your marketing preferences (SMS and Email) and go to the Account Details section. Click on "Edit account profile" to view your current settings and/or edit. Please note that changes to your preferences may require up to 10 days to take effect.
If you recently requested to transfer your phone number to another provider, chatr will send you a text message to provide authorization and complete your request.
chatr svc msg: We received a request to transfer your mobile number to another service provider. To approve this request, reply YES. To cancel it, simply reply NO. For security reasons, you only have 90 minutes to send us your reply. If you don’t answer within this time, the transfer request will automatically be cancelled. Questions? How do I accept the chatr phone number transfer to another service provider:
You will need to reply “Yes” to the text message we’ve sent you.
What if I don’t want to complete the transfer:
Please reply “no” to the text message we’ve sent you. If you do not respond to the text message, it will automatically expire after 90 minutes.
My phone is lost, stolen or broken:
Please contact us at 1-800-485-9745 if you’re not able to complete the authorization from your device.
You will receive a text message from your current carrier to your existing number. You then have 90 minutes to provide authorization for your phone number transfer request. The text message will not be sent to the chatr temporary number.
You will have to leave your phone on, with your existing carrier SIM card in, in order to receive and complete the transfer authorization from your current carrier.
