Physical SIM cards for your phone

What’s a physical SIM card?

A physical SIM card is a small, removable card for your mobile phone. It identifies you as a chatr Mobile customer, allowing you to use our network. You can order a SIM card online with free shipping or purchase one from a chatr retailer.

Choosing the right SIM card size for your phone

The size of the SIM card that fits your phone is determined by your phone's specifications. You can find this information on the packaging for your device or by contacting the manufacturer of your phone.

chatr’s Multi SIM card fits most phones and tablets because it’s a Standard, Micro and Nano SIM card all in one. Just remove the size that fits and insert it into your device.

Activating your physical SIM card

Activating with chatr is easy. All you need is your physical SIM card number, province, city and phone number. Then, choose a plan and enjoy Canada's #1 prepaid mobile service.

Once you have a phone and SIM card, you’re ready for activation with chatr. Visit https://www.chatrwireless.com/activate to get started.

Track my SIM card order

Select Shipping details in your confirmation email to track your order. The standard delivery time is 3 to 5 business days, depending on your location. All physical SIM card orders are sent using a courier, so you can use your order details to track your order.

We deliver SIM cards to Canadian mailing addresses validated by Canada Post, excluding PO boxes. If you haven’t received your order within the expected delivery time or it arrived at your address damaged, contact us. We’re happy to help.

SIM card not registered or SIM card errors

If you’re getting a SIM card error message, make sure that the SIM card is inserted properly into your phone. Then, turn your phone off and back on to reset it. If your phone is still displaying the error message, contact us. We’re here to help.

Switching to an eSIM card

An eSIM is a digital SIM card that activates your mobile plan without needing a physical card.
