We, personally, recommend signing up for auto-pay with your credit card. This pre-authorized payment service takes the guesswork out of when and how much you have to pay so that your account will keep running smoothly.
Otherwise, you’ll have to be on top of things and make sure there is enough balance in your account before your anniversary date. We call this the self-pay option where you pay using your credit card or by buying a chatr top-up from a chatr retail location.
chatr top-ups are available in thousands of retailers across Canada shortly in convenient $10, $25, $40 and $50 denominations.
You can use the following methods of payment to pay your monthly plan fee and pay-per-use charges:
- Credit card (Visa, MasterCard) using our auto-pay service or on a self-pay option
- chatr top-ups available in $10, $25, $40 and $50 denominations. They’re currently available at chatr stores and thousands of retailers across Canada.
You can use your account balance as long as the current month’s monthly plan fee has been paid.
If you fail payment, you cannot access the account balance. But after you make a successful payment of your monthly plan fee, it will be available for use once again – hooray!
If you forget to pay your monthly plan fee for six consecutive months your chatr account is deactivated and any remaining balance is removed.
You can enroll or un-enroll in auto-pay. You can do this by visiting the mychatr account management option online at Chatrwireless.com. You can also call into chatr Customer Care (*611 from your chatr wireless phone– a free call) and speak to a chatr rep who will be happy to assist you.
For sure! We want you to have the best top-up experience possible, so you can sign up for auto-pay at any time. Your first preauthorized payment will occur upon your next anniversary date.
If you would like to stop the auto-pay preauthorized payments, you can do so by calling into chatr Customer Care (*611 from your chatr wireless phone - a free call) or by dropping by one of our chatr kiosks.
If you were eligible for our auto-pay enrollment bonus credit, the bonus payments will stop upon un-enrollment from auto-pay for any monthly credits remaining.
You can have a maximum balance of $150 in your account. If you reach the maximum, you’ll be able to add more money when your account is drawn down. If you’re on auto-pay and reach the maximum balance, we’ll give your credit card a break and will only resume automatic charges when there’s enough room. You don’t have to do a thing.
