Tip: You can check your chatr account balance from your phone anytime. Just dial *225# and press the SEND/CALL button on your mobile for a free on-screen notification.

2. Will my phone work outside my zone?

Yes! chatr has a reliable network that covers 95% of the Canadian population. You can easily check to see if you are in or out of zone by dialling *#555# on your phone, then press the SEND/CALL button for a free on-screen notification. Please remember, pay-per-use rates apply when you are out of zone.

Good news, your former Mobilicity SIM card and phone will continue to work on the chatr network within Canada and the Continental US. If you are traveling outside of Canada and the Continential US, you may need to swap out your SIM card and unlock your phone before you go. You can easily purchase a SIM card online and have it shipped directly to your home or visit a chatr retailer near you. To unlock your phone, visit a participating chatr store near you. Please remember, your account must be active in order to have your device unlocked.

5. What happens if I travel outside of Canada?

If you are planning to travel outside of Canada, standard roaming rates will apply if this feature is not included in your plan. Be sure to check out our roaming rates and ensure that you have extra money in your account to cover any pay-per-use charges before you go.
