1. Yay! I’ve activated my chatr account. Now how do I keep it going?
As a chatr wireless customer, you will be asked to pay your monthly fee before your anniversary date each month. At this time you may also choose to add extra money with INTERAC® Online, Visa Debit, a credit card or chatr top-up voucher. These top-ups are handy if you’re looking to cover anything not included in your plan, or for any activity happening outside your designated chatr zones.
2. How do I check my chatr account balance and how much money I have available?
You’ve got a lot of different options for checking your chatr account:
  • Go to www.chatrwireless.com/mychatr
  • OR dial *225# from your chatr phone for an on-screen notification
  • OR call *611 from your chatr phone
  • OR call 1-800-485-9745 from any phone in Canada

3. How do I add money to my chatr account?

For the most worry-free wireless phone service, we personally recommend signing up for chatr autopay with your credit card. This preauthorized payment service uses automatic payments, so you can take the guesswork out of when and how much you have to pay; and your chatr account will keep running smoothly.

Otherwise, you’ll have to regularly make sure there is enough balance in your account before your anniversary date. If you choose this self-pay option, you can pay by credit card online or by phone, or you can purchase a chatr top-up voucher from any chatr wireless retail location.

Good news! We’ll soon have chatr top-up vouchers available in thousands of retailers across Canada. Stay tuned.

4. What is a chatr zone?

A chatr zone is the physical area where you can enjoy unlimited talk or unlimited talk & text, depending on which plan you’re on. If you’re on our unlimited talk plan, you can call nonstop to any phone number within the province you’re in. If you’re on our unlimited talk & text plan, you can talk & text nonstop to any Canadian number! As long as you’re in a chatr zone,you can talk as much as you want.

If you find yourself outside a designated chatr zone, no worries™! You’ll still have cell phone coverage, but some charges will apply to your usage. Be sure to add some extra money to your chatr account so you can keep talking and texting, worry-free.

What makes these chatr zones so great is that you can find them all over Canada. That means you can take all kinds of journeys all across the country and still enjoy the perks of your unlimited in-zone chatr plan: as long as you’re in a chatr zone. How awesome is that?
5. What is my anniversary date?

The date you activate your chatr wireless phone service is your anniversary date. Your monthly plan fee is deducted from your account on this day every month, so you can continue talking & texting worry-free. So whether you use a chatr top-up or our super convenient chatr autopay service, make sure you have enough balance in your chatr account by 3am Central time on every anniversary date.

By the way, if you happen to activate on the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month, your anniversary date will be set to the 28th of all subsequent months.
